Adult League Coaching & Equipment Tuning
Break through scoring plateaus, master oil transition, and stop leaving easy pins behind.
Most league bowlers do not lack physical effort, they plateau because of three specific gaps: inconsistent single-pin spare mechanics, late moves when oil carries down in game 2 and 3, or throwing a ball coverstock that fights the house oil pattern.
With 21 years on the PBA Tour and experience as Storm Products Tour Manager, Mike DeVaney works with adult league bowlers at Strike Force Lanes in Greenfield, IN to make the exact physical and tactical adjustments that push averages past 200.
Buying the latest bowling ball without understanding coverstock prep and core dynamics often worsens score inconsistency. During your lesson, Mike evaluates your ball reaction on the lane and shows you how surface adjustments (using Abralon pads from 500 to 4000 grit) alter ball motion to match the lane pattern.
Most league bowlers plateau between 170 and 190 due to repeatable spare misses and late lane adjustments. Fixing 2 spare misses per night and learning when to move off oil breakdown typically adds 10 to 20 pins to a league average.
Mike evaluates your current bowling balls, coverstocks (solid vs. pearl vs. hybrid), core types (asymmetrical vs. symmetrical), surface finishes, and pin locations to determine which equipment fits your rev rate and lane conditions.
